ICGP Involved in Peer-Reviewed Publication

A paper outlining the barriers to early diagnosis of cancer in primary care according to Irish GPs will be published in the November/December 2007 issue of the Irish Medical Journal by Drs Helena Daly and Claire Collins. This paper summarises the main findings of the study, carried out by the Irish College of General Practitioners and the Irish Cancer Society. The key aim of the study was to identify barriers experienced by GPs in diagnosing cancer early, in order to maximise the potential for cure.
