Applications for Research and Education Grants

Applications are invited for Research & Education Foundation Funding bi-annually (April/October). Applications are accepted under the Research & Education headings. Grants will only be approved for prospective research. The grants offered are as follows:

A. April each year: 4 to max of €1,500; and 4 to max of €10,000
B. October each year: 6 to max of €1,500 with preference for trainees; 2 to max of €10,000; and 1 to max of €25,000

• Grants to maximum of €1,500 are for scoping activities and trainee projects.
• Grants to a maximum of €10,000 are for audit, evaluation and pilot research studies specifically to encourage entry of GPs to the research environment.
• Grant to a maximum of €25,000 open to all GPs for larger studies.

Submission: Closing date for receipt of applications is the end of April and October each year. Completed application forms should be submitted electronically to carol.white@icgp.ie. Signature pages to be sent by post within one week of closing date; these must be originals - electronic signatures are not acceptable.
