The National Conference on Alcohol and Drugs was held on Saturday, 8 November, 2008 at the Clarion Hotel, Cork. The conference theme was 'The Low-Down on Depression and Suicide'. The conference proved an outstanding success and the line-up of speakers was first class. The main aim of the conference was to highlight the significant links between mental health issues and the use and misuse of both alcohol and drugs.
