CPD Accreditation

CPD Accreditation of External Meetings, Courses, Conference for GPs

The ICGP is the accrediting body for meetings/courses/conferences for GPs. ICGP CPD accreditation refers to approved external educational activity for GPs for the purposes of Professional Competence under the Medical Council Specialist Division of the Register and GMS study leave.

To apply for CPD accreditation please complete and return the application form for external providers (below) to carol.white@icgp.ie. Prior to submitting your application it is advisable to refer to current ICGP guidelines/procedures and policy document (below) as invalid applications will not be considered.

Valid applications are usually processed within 2-4 weeks and confirmation is then issued by email. In some instances applications may need to be considered by the Professional Competence Sub-Committee which will prolong the process.
