Q. What is happening with the certification of GP practice software systems?

A. The Requirements For Certification 2007: core specification, available at www.icgp.ie/gpit, will be used to certify new GP practice software products from September 2007 and existing products, which were previously certified, in June 2008. This document gives an idea of the standard the GPIT Group is setting for GP software systems and the opportunities for interfacing these systems with hospital and primary, continuing and community care information systems. This is a discussion document and the GPIT group would value any feedback and comments you wish to make.
