Annual Audit Prize

Annual Audit Prize 2020 - Postponed

The ICGP Annual Audit Prize is now open for submissions and the closing date for entries is 12 noon on Wednesday 30 September 2020.

To enter, please email the following information to

  1. Copy of the audit report in PDF or Word format (NB: please ensure no patient identifiers appear in this report)
  2. Name of applicant
  3. Address of applicant
  4. Email address of applicant

The top three shortlisted entries will receive free admission to ICGP20 in the Convention Centre, Dublin. The winner of the prize will receive a €500 bursary and will be asked to present at the conference.

Criteria for entries to the audit prize are as follows:

  1. Topic is relevant to general practice
  2. Audit demonstrates all steps of the audit cycle (available to view on page 2 of What GPs Need To Know To Carry Out a Practice / Clinical Audit)
  3. The doctor who carried out the audit is a current member of the ICGP Professional Competence Scheme (i.e. enrolled on the 2019 2020 PCS year)
  4. Audit was conducted in either the 2018 2019 OR the 2019 2020 PCS year

Please be advised that the ICGP will publish all three shortlisted audits anonymously on our website as a support to other GPs in meeting their annual PCS requirements.

The ICGP Department of Research developed this bursary in conjunction with the ICGP Professional Competence Scheme committee.
