GP Clinical Lead Mental Health

Job Purpose

This new role aligns with recommendations in Sharing the Vision and Sláintecare to improve collaboration between primary and secondary care in mental health. The GP Lead will collaborate with the HSE and relevant stakeholders to develop a pathway of care for the unmet physical healthcare needs of patients with severe and enduring mental illness. The overall aim of Mental Health care is to ensure any person using a specialist mental health service has access to GP and primary care services on the same basis as other citizens and provided with the right care by the right person in the right place.
