National Director - CME 

Job Purpose

The purpose of the job is to provide, at national level, the leadership and strategic development of the CME Tutor Network and to plan and provide for the expansion of the network as appropriate. Working with the Assistant Academic Director, the National Director will ensure the highest academic standards in the delivery of education content to the CME Network. The National Director and the ICGP Medical Director will collaborate to strengthen existing links between ICGP and the CME national team, to identify and meet the evolving learning needs of ICGP members. 

The CME Network curriculum is decided at a local level by the individual tutors on what the educational needs of their GP groups are. In planning the workshops and educational sessions at workshops, the National Director is required to consider what learning needs have been identified by tutors and by national or ICGP surveys. The National Director is required to liaise closely with the Medical Director and to keep abreast on what other educational needs have been identified by other areas in college and what educational content is been planned by college.
