Introduction

This course has been designed in response to requests from a number of GP training programmes, GP trainees and newly established GPs who have indicated the need for structured training in the core aspects of management as it relates to general practice.

Feedback and participant evaluation all strongly indicate that course participation has increased participants' knowledge and made both GPs and GP registrars better equipped to manage a GP practice and to manage their own entry into practice on an employee, partner or sole practitioner basis.

Admission requirements

Places on the course are available to newly established GPs (NEGs) and 3rd and 4th year GP registrars. Preference will be given to NEGs and 4th year trainees if the course is over subscribed.
