Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) continue to increase in popularity as a contraceptive choice for women. General practitioners are the primary health care providers of this form of contraception in the Irish setting. In response to feedback from general practitioners providing this service, the ICGP Women's Health Programme continues to facilitate a series of 'LARC Update' workshops on a yearly basis. These tend to be run in conjunction with annual conferences such as ICGP Winter Meeting, AGM and Summer School, and hence are held in various locations throughout the country.
