A. Microsoft recently released Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for the iPad that allow you to view documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your iPad. If you want to edit the documents you need to subscribe to Office 365. For business use a subscription of €124.80 plus VAT per year per user will give you an Office 365 account and the ability to download the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and access to your desktop or laptop.

If you only need the service for home or family use then Office 365 Home gives you the service, including the software downloads, for €120 per year plus VAT for up to five users in the household. The Office 365 Home package is good value and also allows you full use of the iPad apps for editing, saving, and storage in the cloud, using OneDrive. Remember not to store any patient-identifiable clinical information in the cloud.
