Version 1 of the ‘Guide for Providing Care for Transgender Patients in General Practice’ was published in January 2021. Version 2 has been updated to include recently published recommendations from the Final Report of
the Steering Committee on the Development of HSE Transgender Identity Services, increased clarity regarding current evidence for the medication treatment options for adolescents and further guidance regarding referral
pathways. Version 2 of this guide supersedes version 1.
