A feasibility study on the implementation of diagnostic coding into general practice. A stratified sample of 25-30 general practices will be recruited and trained in the diagnostic coding component of their practice software and will use a web-based system to transfer anonymised data from the practice system to a central database. Practices will code consultation information using the International Classification for Primary Care, version two (ICPC-2).
