How long should I keep my certificates of attendance?

Certificates of attendance are the evidence required to support your recording of external CPD activity to your ePortfolio. You should keep all evidence to support your recorded activities, including certificates, for a minimum of 6 years (the current PCS year and the 5 previous).

You can add these to your ePortfolio by following the steps here or you can keep copies on file.

In the event that you are randomly selected for verification by the ICGP, you may be asked to furnish evidence, including certificates, to support your engagement with PCS. Failure to do so may result in you being verified with corrective action required.

You may also be asked to furnish these certificates to the Medical Council, in the event that you are randomly selected for their audit process.
