Irish Gerontological Society - Postgraduate Research Day 2019 Call for Abstracts

Further to the success of last year's Postgraduate Research Day, the Irish Gerontological Society will hold a focused Postgraduate Research Day on Friday, 1st March 2019 in the Education Research Centre, St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin 4. 

This Research Day is specifically aimed at students who are registered for a postgraduate degree (MD, PhD, MSc) in the field of ageing research, who would like to present at, or simply attend, or for those considering a career in research. Each presenter will be allocated 15 minutes. (12 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions). 

Diarmuid O'Shea, President of the IGS, will give the opening address. There will also be keynote presentations which will examine issues of interest to all students in Ageing Research. 

If you know of any post-graduate students who might be interested in participating, please forward this email to them today. Registration can be completed by Eventbrite through the Irish Gerontological Society website which will open in the coming days. 

Closing date of submissions of abstracts for presentation – Friday 15th February.

Postgraduate students are welcome from: Nursing, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language, Social work, Sociology, Biology, Psychology, Health Policy, Health Economics, Audiology and any discipline concerned with Healthy & Active Ageing.
