The conference is open to all GP Trainees from first to fourth year it is always the highlight of the ICGP calendar for trainees and this year will be no exception. 

Conference Highlights:

• Dr Paul Ryan, Founder of GPConsult.ie and Prescription Revision
• Prof Anne-Marie Tobin, HSE Clinical Lead, National Clinical Programme in Dermatology
• Dr Mary Short, ICGP Director of Women's Health
• Palliative Care

Trainees will also be inspired by the degree of variety seen in the day-to-day working lives of many of the practicing GPs speaking at the conference. Across the two days of the conference there will be talks from GPs with sub-specialist interests ranging from Sports Medicine to Plant-Based Nutrition.

Business aspects General Practice which will be covered:

• Dr Rukshan Goonewardena, Director of NEGS will speak about his own experiences of becoming a GP Principle. 
• Dr. Maitiú O Faoláin will deliver a talk about valuing your time working as an Assistant or Locum GP
• Orla Murphy, CEO of GP Match will outline the practicalities and pitfalls of buying into a General Practice.

Quality and Safety in Practice - GP Trainee Award 2019 (Supported by Medisec)

Three shortlisted finalists will present on their projects.

The winner will receive a prize of €2000 and both runners-up €500

Socially there will be an annual Dinner on the Thursday evening and Friday morning a 5k Fun Run through Galway city. We look forward to seeing you there!
