Primarily aimed at GPs and GP registrars, this course will introduce the participant to managing issues related to alcohol misuse, misuse of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as illicit drug use in primary care.

Eligibility
- ICGP members and GP registrars
- Non-members/GP registrars (must work in general practice--application required, see registration below)
Delivery
- 11 interactive eLearning presentations (ranging from 6 to 20 minutes in duration)
- Links to all guidelines and assessment tools provided
Completion
- All 11 topics must be viewed in sequence and 80% achieved in the MCQ assessment
- Note: You may log in and out of the training at your convenience and as often as you like.
- Note: You may repeat the assessment up to a maximum of 3 times
Duration
- 3 hours approximately - for all modules and the MCQ quiz
Certification
- Certificate of successful completion / CPD code: 5 external credits/0.5 day GMS study leave
- Note: You MUST retain a copy of your certificate in your records. You will be required to submit this certificate to apply for this contract.
