The College commissioned the production of this handbook as a practical point of reference for newly established GPs. Each chapter informs the reader of various non-clinical aspects of practicing as a GP in Ireland. The intention of this resource is to serve as a useful guide to the business and organisational skills needed in general practice. It will also, hopefully, help newly established GPs avoid pitfalls and ensure an easier transition into the field of general practice.
