Medical Council changes to annual retention of registration form and to ICGP reporting requirements

The Medical Council have made an important change to their annual retention of registration form, with a further change indicated for the 2020 form. The Council have requested that we bring this document to your attention. For your convenience, the amendments are highlighted in red.

Please be aware of these upcoming changes when recording your activity for the current PCS year. All activity must be recorded by Tuesday 30 April 2019 in order to appear on your annual Statement of Participation. Statements of Participation are raised once per year and we will notify you by email when your new Statement is available for you to download.

The Medical Council have now asked all Postgraduate Medical Training Bodies to send them the Medical Council Registration Number (MCRN) and name of all Registered Medical Practitioners who have not met their annual PCS requirements for the 2018/19 PCS year.

Please be advised that the Medical Council have informed us that doctors who make a false declaration during the annual retention process may be subject to regulatory action which could result in sanction, limitations on your practice, suspension or erasure from the register. Therefore it is important that you incorporate these changes, that are instigated by the Medical Council ,from the starting date.
