ICGP Annual Audit Prize

The ICGP is delighted to introduce a new bursary to acknowledge general practitioners who have undertaken an exceptional audit in the course of meeting their Irish Medical Council (IMC) requirements.

Applications for this bursary can be submitted either through the ICGP Faculties or by emailing directly to professionalcompetence@icgp.ie. Applications must be received by 12 noon on Monday 16 April 2018 and must include the applicant's name, address, email address and a copy of their audit report (please note: no patient identifiers should appear on the supporting documentation).

The audit should be on a topic relevant to general practice and should demonstrate all 7 steps of the audit cycle, as outlined by the IMC. For full information on the audit cycle, please see www.icgp.ie/audit.

Doctors who are shortlisted must be available to present at the ICGP Annual Conference and AGM in the Convention Centre, Dublin, on 25 – 27 May 2018. The overall winner will be selected and announced on the day. All doctors shortlisted will also have their audit published on the ICGP website.

This bursary has been developed by the ICGP Department of Research in conjunction with the ICGP Professional Competence Scheme committee. Please note: Nomination for this prize does not constitute meeting the annual IMC PCS requirements. These should be met as standard by all registered medical practitioners. For information on the PCS requirements, please visit www.icgp.ie/pcs.
