How long should I keep my certificates of attendance?

Certificates of attendance are the evidence required to support your recorded external CPD activity. You should keep all evidence to support your recorded activities, including certificates, on file for a minimum of 6 years (the current PCS year and the 5 previous).

You can add copies to your ePortfolio by following the steps here and you should also ensure you retain a copy for your own records.

In the event that ICGP randomly selects you for verification, you will be asked to add copies of your evidence to your ePortfolio so it is useful to try and include these as you record your credits throughout the year. Where you do not have evidence to support an activity, we advise that you do not record it for CPD.

The Medical Council may ask you to furnish evidence in the event that you are randomly selected for their PCS audit process.
