MSD have notified doctors of a shortage in supply of two of their Sinemet products. Sinemet is the drug that is most widely used in the management of Parkinson's Disease. The shortage in supply is temporary but global . The shortage will commence in October 2018 until Spring 2019 .
The attached summary guidance document from Professor Tim Lynch and Dr Graham Hughes suggest methods of dealing with this shortage and makes some very helpful recommendations with regard to managing our patients suffering from Parkinsons Disease during this period of supply shortages.
