Dr Deirdre Collins has served on the Board of the ICGP since 2019. She was Chair of the Education Governance Committee until taking the role of Chair of the Board in June 2023. Her time as Chair of Education Governance has seen the Committee provide oversight for the expansion of the ICGP Education team and the delivery of traditional and blended learning for members in a rapidly changing educational environment.
She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and completed her GP training in Dublin. She is a founding partner of a multidoctor training and teaching practice in her hometown of Kilcullen, Co. Kildare.
Dr Collins is a member and formerly honorary treasurer of the Kildare faculty of ICGP.
As committee member and former chairperson of KDoc Out of Hours Co-Operative she has a role in GP liaison with Naas Hospital and Kildare West Wicklow Integrated Care Committee.
Deirdre is pleased to have been appointed as Chair of the Board and looks forward to working with the Board, Council and Members in continuing to deliver on the ICGP College Strategy 2023-2026.
