This National Clinical Guideline on Hepatitis C Screening is the first comprehensive national guidance on screening for HCV infection. It was developed under the auspices of the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC). NCEC supports the development of quality assured National Clinical Guidelines. NCEC National Clinical Guidelines are endorsed by the Minister for Health and, as a consequence of this Ministerial mandate, it is expected that NCEC National Clinical Guidelines are implemented across all relevant services in the Irish healthcare setting.
