Quality and Safety in Practice Award

ICGP Quality and Safety in Practice Awards 2024

The purpose of the ICGP Quality and Safety in Practice awards is to highlight the high quality, innovative leadership that GPs demonstrate in their day-to-day practice. The awards harness a sense of pride and appreciation for the enormous work being done at the frontline of general practice and help us demonstrate the value of the work GPs and their teams do every day.

We invite GPs to share their stories of the practical, novel quality improvement initiatives that you have introduced in practices across Ireland. Through the awards, we aim to share our learning experiences and demonstrate how simple measures can improve the care we deliver to patients. Projects should demonstrate a quality Improvement initiative across any aspect of General Practice. Some examples are outlined below. We invite you to share your experience with your peers by submitting initiatives using the short entry form below.

  • Have you improved your appointment system?
  • Did you develop a novel recall system for your vaccination campaign?
  • Did you/your team develop an improved system for providing blood test results?
