Description

The Primary Care Antimicrobial guidelines are now available for the smartphone, iPad lab top and PC for ease of access. This site is provided by the HSE and RCPI Clinical Programme on HCAI and AMR Prevention, working with the ICGP. It aims to provide GPs with a quick reference guide to antibiotic prescribing.

This website was developed in November 2012, and supported by the HSE information campaign Action on Antibiotics. It will be maintained and kept up to date as guidance changes. It replaces the print version of these guidelines which were distributed to all GP surgeries in 2011. Please refer to this site at all times for the most up to date references. Additions and updates will be highlighted on the site as they arise.

The HSE antibiotic site contains patient information leaflets, posters, powerpoint slides, delayed antibiotic prescription template and other resources you might find useful http://www.hse.ie/antibiotics
