Description

In May 2005 the Report of the National Taskforce on Obesity (NTFO) – ‘Obesity the Policy Challenges’ was published. The report aimed to provide the policy framework for addressing the high prevalence and rising levels of overweight and obesity, in particular childhood obesity, in Ireland. The Health Service Executive also established a Working Group to implement the health related recommendations of NTFO. The working group has developed a framework for Action on Obesity.
