This quick reference guide is designed to give general practitioners some information about Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD), particularly SCD in the young. Much of this information is to assist medical professionals in the pre-participation evaluation for sports or exercise for persons under 35 years of age. Electro Cardiogram (ECG) information is included to make the pack as comprehensive as possible in the context of general information. It is not the intention or expectation that GPs should administer and/or interpret ECGs for those who may be at risk of SCD.
