Medical Indemnity

It is a mandatory requirement, by the Irish Medical Council, that all doctors working in Ireland have adequate indemnity to cover their clinical practice. You will be expected to obtain medical indemnity. You will discuss this with your clinical supervisor in advance of starting in your GP practice. The main indemnifiers in the Irish market are Medisec, Medical Protection Society (MPS) and Challenge.
